We would like to welcome to the Balmoral event team ‘Alltech’. Lifeforce formular all in one, daily nutritional supplement. Most people will recongnise this name from the leading sponsors of the World Equestrian Games in Kentucky. We are excited to have Alltech aboard, we are suppliers of this product, so anyone wishing to start their horses on this wonderful product and be part of a winning formular please contact us, or catch up with us at any event and we can help you out. www.lifeforcehorse.com, Life force is a very interesting product, it helps with toxins in grains, hay and pastures, which we think is very important in a country like NZ, with the toxins in grass etc. Check out the website for more info, or we will have more info up asap.
Well Woodhill and Clevedon dressage,,, we ended up with Sim coming with me to Woodhill, (i think the thought of me and the kids with 14 horses, without Sim terrified everyone involved!!) So The other Smiths, (aka Nicki and Tracy) said they would happily ride Okey...., So Nicole and Ann took Ben(Nicoles horse) and Okey to Clevedon, while we took 14horses and all the rest of the Team to Woodhill. Shelley, Angela and Chris always take care of us, so we are always glad we go when we are their, this time it was pouring rain we were 5mins out, Shelley rings to divert our yards. Thank you Shelley. Nicki Smith/Kitcherman rode Okey on the friday and decleared a steal was going to happen:))
We had Sports Caf’e (for Sale) in the Novice, he ran well, we didn’t run him fast as first one of season, but very happy with him to finish 6th.
Pre Novice, i had 4 in it, and i managed to learn the kids test, not my own!!! Our latest edition Balmoral Montgomery became HC, i was very happy with him, although i did manage to get the big E, by exceeding the time limit XC, haha:)) Black Ice 11 (for sale) was a real trouper and gave me a very easy ride to finish 4th on his dressage, Soft Touch (for sale) also gave me a very easy ride to also finish on her dressage score to finish 6th, NeverNever (for Sale) also ran very confidently round his first pre novice, and finish just out of the placings. Tess, (who we all thought was going to clear the electric wires by air and speed not attached to a horse on thursday) put on a very brave face, and rode to plan with Drums n Roses, for their first pre novice, and did us very proud.
Balmoral Henton and Sim were our stars of the day, our highest grade win, and definatley the most deserving from our team!, Balmoral Henton is owned by ourselves, my mum (aka Donna here) and Sue Clarke (USA)very exciting for us as now Balmoral Okey and Balmoral Henton, both 4yr olds have both won trainings in the last 2 starts. Alex had his horse doing his first training start and we were very happy with the results.
Pre training, Balmoral Ayres Rock,(4yr old) owned by sim’s parents Joe and Carol Kann and ridden by myself, just managed to fend of Sim on Balmoral Couger Pedy (4yr old) as we battled out first and 2nd. (Couger, is auctally my favorite of all the 4yr olds, she is Balmoral Fiddlesticks, full little sister) Balmoral Nashville, was winning all the way up to my step (could have been more than 1 step) back at the water, but finished confidently, This giving Isobel Turner (our USA working student) a chance to move up to 3rd on NRM Cruising Time on their first start together. Xena and Paddy finished 8th in their division, Paddy showing is improvment after spending the last week in exchange with the other Smiths at dressage barn. Alex rode Balmoral Townsville for us, looking to be progressing well.
Today we are off to Hunua XC schooling with our upper level team, for an outing before they go to dressage up North next weekend, which brings me back to Okey, she got 3 66% so now well and truely qualified for HOY with her stable mate Balmoral Henton. As long as Nicole manages to get her off the other smiths hands today!!!!
