Last week was a little bit of a so called rest week!!!!!!
We decided halfway through the week that we should run a small practise showjump day and invite the outside world. It was a good day that will definately build up into something bigger and better. We jumped all of ours in the morning and finished them by 10am. The open day started at 10 so was good timing. We plan to run another on the Tuesday before Puihunui 3 day on the 6th December starting at 3 pm and running till late. We will start again at 65cm and moving up to what everybody needs. Remember that the xc is always open for schooling at $20 per horse.
Equidays was held on the weekend with David and Karen Oconnor doing clinics all three days. Donna was lucky enough to grab a lesson on the sunday on Balmoral Sensation and had a great time and was worth while going. We had the pleasure of entertaining both Karen and David last night and today showing horses off for the whole day. Last night was a great catch up(we all wished there wasnt an endless supply of wine in the cabnet when we woke up this morning!!!!) But a job was to be done and we all pulled incredibly well and all acounted for. I think we showed 21 horses today and they were all very nice and behaved incredibly well in the wind that we had. The day actually worked really well with Karen riding the majority of the sale horses and we kept David busy with dressage lessons between Donna myself and Heelan.
Peanut(aka pinot) finally visited us(although i think it was probably more to see Karen and David) it was great to have her here and a fun weekend was had by all.
So we are gearing up for Richfields this week and hoping for good weather and good ponies.
