In Aussie

I arrived in Brisbane on Monday to find beautiful weather only then to hear its going to rain for the next two days.....well that it did and pretty much non stop!!! 

I visited one of our new horses yesterday, "Fiddles" is a 4yr old gelding by Falkrich, out of a Sea road mare.He is by the same stallion as Balmoral KS Rolex, who I won Queensland young event horse on. In my opinion he was one of the nicest horses i have owned and ridden, unfortunately retiring as a 5 year old due to an injury. Fiddles arrives in New Zealand on the 25th August.

On Saturday I will venture over and see our other new purchases, again by Falkrich but this time out of a mare called Diamond, who is in fact Balmoral KS Rolex's mother. One of them is a embryo transfer and the other is from diamond both 4 year olds, so both full sister's to Rolex. The girls should be over to New Zealand in mid September and we will put them into foal for their first season over there.

Donna is at home in Te Kauwhata working extremely hard, with 25 horses in work. Kirk and Niki are certainly looking forward to me getting back.

Eagle was sold last week to the U.S and we wish the new owner's well with him, we will miss him on the farm.
