A little bit of sunshine

5:54am, Monday 18th of July 2011, by Simone Kann

This week has been filled with us playing the part of farmers. Graham and Diana skipped away for some timeout, so we took over the duties of farmers. Now this was pretty easy when we started with the chooks/goat/dogs then the cattle....Well its winter and its been raining pretty dam heavy, so as you could imagine its pretty boggy out there. So we head out to do the strip grazing with the working dogs and Fee our little foxy cross(shes a purebred Taniwha dog) but the best worker out. Its quite relaxing walking out to change the bulls strip of grass...untill you take your first loss of boot for the day. Literally your walking along and without warning your dubarry has been sucked off yet again...but wait thats just on the flats, we have a hill named Mount Buggary, says it all really( i actually gave it another name, but not for viewing) All i can say is thank god we were running and walking while we were away cause this hill in the mud was hard! In fact we would get to a point and one of us would pretend to see something in the distance just so we could have a breather.(I was hoping my Dubarry would get sucked off again...but no it only happens on the flat) On the last day we had managed not to take a tumble, famous last words as Donna goes down with the tape real into the mud. Well i had a little chuckle and 2 seconds later end up in the mud with my standards and a little finger facing the wrong direction. All in all its good for your fitness and we warranted eating Dianas yummy home baked cake all week.

On the Horse side of things we managed to start getting a few photos and videos of the new horses done to put on the websight. keep checking on the Horse page for updates.
