Everyone has the pleasure of Donna doing the news item this week.... Brisbane has amazing weather, and warm! This week i'm going to give everyone a bit of a detailed experience that Sim and I experienced this week (Sim assures me this is how it was growing up!) It all really started when Joe, Carol, Sim and I and Lexie (the pooch), were going to take a ride in the golf buggy around the complex.... We were all loaded up, drinks in hand, off to watch the lovely sunset..., well we never left the buggy garage, as the key snapped off in the ignition... after many attempts with many appliances, we were still left facing the wall long after sundown,, saving grace.. we were close to the bar! Now Sims parents have a campervan, and it was scheduled for its MV (maiden voyage) departing saturday morning... Seems easy enough, just like a horse truck, hook it up away we go... but wait,, "hook it up" was the problem,, This is my first of many it turns out to be trips to Moss St,,, believe u me, everything is in Moss st i have come to find! On this particular trip to Moss St, Sim asks a very unhelpful guy "can you just grind this towbar down to fit" with the reply of "thats highly allegal, and you will get caught!" we never went back to that shop!... Next morning we are scheduled to go down to Gold Coast with Joe, to get the car cheaked before MV, plan was we get dropped off, run 5km to beach, Joe picks us up at Seafood place(yah),,, we ran 5km their,, ate alot of seafood,, and no Joe... so we start walking back...5km back,, 5hrs later we are pulling out of car dealership FINALLY,, to go 100m down the road and light goes back on!!! Sim and I got to hang out at the Audi dealership for 5hrs in our running gear!! All fixed and tomorrow been another day, we confidently leave determind to have Carol and Joe on the road by morning...... hahaha along way off....
We visit Moss St 4 more times...,, hand wing mirrows... push every button we can find to see what/how/if anything they do in the camper.. hoses don't fit etc etc etc I'm not even going to begin to explain how 3 of us and a brand spanking new generator started out, but it ended with a new spark plug,, and they really do need oil!!.....By 2pm we have Carol and Joe in the car (i do believe Sim was standing out of Carols door as to not let her out, while we got Joe in the car) ..... 20km down rd,,, wing mirrow flies down the Interstate... They get to the park, somehow now have to holes in the side of caravan,, also nudge a neighbours caravan...then somehow lock their keys in the car... you can imangine our reaction, when the SOS call came for the spare set of keys....2 hour drive up the sunshine coast for Sim and I!! Now this all leaves Sim and I in a really good position,, we can now take the offending caravan away, and not have to worry about, if we scratch it,, break something etc etc.... So here are my survival skills i have learnt in the passed week...
1. Moss St,, has everything, urgent repairs or help have Sim in running attire and get it for free!!
2. Never eat all you can after a run,, you never know how far it is back with intergestion!!
3. Towball must fit the car.
4. I have know knowledge of fitting wing mirrows!!
5. If you claim its your MV at a camper park,, you get away with anything!!
6. Audi's lock automatically!!
7. Generators..... push a button over 1000 times and it runs out of spark,, go figure!!!
8. Always read a manual,, they usually have answers!!
9. It all started with the Golf Cart key... If it don't fit,, don't force it!!!
All in all it has been a fun week, and i think Sim and I both have laughed so hard we had tears:)))
