So it wasn’t as bad as i was expecting!! we made it through 29 dressage tests in 3 days!!

Our 4yr olds, Balmoral Okey and Henton Balmoral which Sim rode did us so proud over the weekend, very exciting horses for the future with knees and hocks going higher everytime they spooked!! I think they grew up alot over the weekend:)) Simmy also rode Knightly Venture, which still looked the part even been an eventer, they did their first ever musical together and even though i’m slightly byist i think they were amazing:))) (even if the judge did say their music was outdated!!!) haha Balmoral Okey and Henton Balmoral were awesome all weekend, with a judge from the weekend ringing last nite asking if 1 was for sale,, and lots of offers to compete them for Sim at dressage while she had to be away with me managing our eventers!! :)) We will keep you all posted on those fronts,, and yes we know who wants to ride the bay,,, and who the chestnut:)))

I took our eventers, and they still haven’t forgiven me...... the first day they had sooo much fun and were completely un disaplined!!,,,, next day they couldn’t believe it when i went sitting trot again on them, and by yesterday they were very grumpy bored indivudals,, that will probably all pull my arms out on todays gallops!!! (nobody offered to ride mine,,,, although the more tests i did on Chocco the more people came to watch,,,, i feel for the wrong reasons!!!) but everyone was pleastanly disappointed in my final boring test on him!!

Paddy is becoming a DQ on Wolverine, and very excited to what they could produce next weekend at Puhunui, they had good percentages in three tests and a majour memory lapse in the other.

Things i learnt this past weekend........

*Dressage parking is not a take you own line.... don’t be an individual on this!!!!!

*You have to bring ur own numbers....they don’t give you any!!!!

*Christine is a very forgiving secertary...... :))))) thank you!!!

*If you say goodmorning enough times to a dressage rider,, you may get a quarter smile!!!

*.6 tests must Not be called!!

*Fake numbers are frowned apon!!

*Tracey and Nicki are funny!!

*when too and not too carry a whip!!

*know your rules girls!!!! we heard that many times over the weekend

*Tess is amazing

All in all we came home with ribbions in most classes, a couple of.... in front of the leg moments and some exciting young horses.

Puhunui this week and we have another of Sims aussie mates, Rebel Morrow(reb rode for Aussie at Athens Olympics and was the highest Aussie rider) coming to ride for us as Simmy is not allowed to ride as i’m high maintenence!!!! Horses we have running are
