We are not starting to count down yet........Bugger, we were jumping the gun.
This is getting longer and longer. As it turns out, there are no competitions for us to go to any way. Its a sad end of 2007, especially for those wanting to get qualified for next year olympics.
Our horses in Warwick are doing ok, some, as of today are looking like having a possible 2nd bout of the flu. When does it end is the biggest question.
Days go by and the flu keeps travelling just as quick around southeast Queensland. You can pretty much gaurentee that if your neighbor has it, then be prepared because its knocking on your door.
We are lucky here on Moloney Road as there is only us(Balmoral) and our neighbors Kolora Stud(Peter and Michelle Lang-Mcmahon). The next lot of horses near us would be around 5km away. But does it travell 50m or 8km? You hear mixed reports.
Its breeding season and I feel for all the big studs out there with the flu, I hope the foals cope ok. We only have one due within the next week.
Survival for the full time Equestrian coach/riders is starting to take its toll. What do we do in the next ....say 3 months?
I will keep you posted on that answer, when i work it out.
