Equine lockdown

1:05pm, Tuesday 28th of August 2007, by Simone Kann

Well here at Morgan park on Thursday the 1st of September there are arbout 90% of the horses showing signs of the Equine flu.

The Warwick horses trials committee and the crisis management team have been amazing.

At this stage we are in here 30 days after the last horse that gets the virus and is deemed recovered.

We have 2 vet checks per day with 5 vets on the grounds at all time at this stage. All tempretures are monitored at least 3 times per day.

The Queensland government has funded the horses feed/ farrier/ vet for the duration of the quarintine period.

We are also being provided with our meals, washine machines and the list keeps getting bigger and bigger as the days go by.

The night life at Morgan park is pretty good as well, If its a casual camp fire chat/drink/ping pong, late night movie your after then ur at the right place.

We are all in great spirits and everyone is helping out anyone who needs any help.

Will keep you posted as we go along.
