SIMONE KANN

Simone Kann

Elite Advanced event rider, Simone Kann, has undertaken the equestrian profession since a young age. Though in a tough and difficult sport, Simone has had success through out her career, with producing top international horses consistently each year, enabling her to compete and establish a high standard of riding and training.  Simone continues to produce incredible results, beautifully schooled horses and well trained students here in the United States.

Simone has been eventing at the Advanced level since 1990, her first Advanced 3* horse was the super talented horse called Balmoral Cheer. They represented Australia in 1992 in the Trans Tasman Young rider team, and in the same year they were named on the Australian National A list. Unfortunately the following year Balmoral Cheer had an accident in the Truck and his career was cut short as a 10 year old.

Simone has worked and trained with some of the top trainers in her native Australia:  dressage with Dianne Jenkyn since 1989, show jumping with Michelle Lang Mcmahon since1991,  and cross country Prue Barrett and Heath Ryan since 1994.  Simone was a member of the Queensland Eventing squad since 1990, during that time she was coached by Wayne Roycroft & Robert Stewart who have been a huge influence in her riding career.

In 2008, during the outbreak of equine influenza in Australia, Simone made the decision to come to the US to pursue her ambition to compete at Rolex on Tim Tram and Simply Priceless.  In typical Simone fashion, when Phillip Dutton showed interest in Tim Tram, Sim made the decision to sell.  She remained on in the US to ride with Sharon White, to build up a training business here in the states and to continue to produce top level event horses.  Read more about current business with Sharon on the Current Facility (Link) page!
